Green Performance Management (GPM) has emerged as a critical framework for embedding sustainability into organizational practices and fostering environmentally responsible workplaces. As organizations face increasing pressure to align with global sustainability agendas, integrating green principles into performance management systems becomes essential for long-term competitiveness and ecological stewardship. This study explores GPM as a pathway to sustainable workplaces by examining the role of green human resource management (HRM) practices, employee awareness and behavior, sustainability indicators, performance appraisal systems, organizational culture, and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using a mixed-method approach, we evaluate how these elements collectively influence workplace sustainability outcomes. Results highlight significant improvements in energy conservation, waste reduction, and employee engagement in eco-friendly practices when green metrics are embedded into appraisal and reward systems. Findings also underscore the importance of cultivating a green organizational culture and leadership commitment to reinforce sustainable behaviors. Our work concludes that GPM not only enhances environmental performance but also strengthens employee motivation and organizational reputation. Implications suggest that organizations should integrate sustainability indicators into performance frameworks, invest in green training, and align workplace practices with SDGs to achieve holistic sustainability. Future research should expand to cross-industry comparisons and longitudinal studies to assess the enduring impact of GPM on organizational resilience and global sustainability goals.
