This system incorporates an MQ-2 gas sensor to detect combustible gases like LPG and smoke, an MQ-135 sensor to monitor air quality (such as CO₂ and other harmful gases), and a temperature sensor to track abnormal temperature rises. Upon detection of any threat, the ESP32 triggers a buzzer, sends an SMS alert via a GSM module, displays alerts on an LCD, and can automatically turn off a connected DC fan to mitigate hazard spread. Furthermore, all sensor data is uploaded to the ThingSpeak IoT platform, enabling users to remotely monitor the status of their kitchen in real-time. The main motive behind this system is to enhance the safety of kitchens using cost-effective and easily deployable hardware. With the rapid adoption of smart homes, integrating safety monitoring into kitchen environments is both logical and necessary. The ESP32's dual connectivity (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) and low power consumption make it ideal for such IoT applications.
